The Geno Pioneer
Dr Chris is a pioneer in South Africa, with his trademarked Genotype approach to nutrition. His doctoral thesis explored the impact that combined and diverse genetic factors have on physiology, wellbeing and physical performance. This methodology has seen him run a successful private practice for decades.
His unique approach to wellness debunks common myths and assumptions and his non-invasive and personalised protocols have benefited lay people, professionals and athletes, alike. His numerous successes have made him a sought-after advisor on nutrition, health care and performance.
His methods
Dr Chris was a pioneer at considering the holistic interplay between individual genetic characteristics, haematological indicators and nutrition.
His unique methodology combines the unique aspects of individual
-
Blood type
-
Genetic body shape
-
Muscle fibre composition
-
Food sensitivities and preferences (antigens)
-
Secretor or non-secretor liver status
In his practice, he combines this with oxidative blood stress analysis, where live cultures indicate areas of attention and predisposition.
His doctoral research showed that, holistically, every individual falls within one of 42 combinations of these measurements.
Inaccurate nutrition can affect performance and health - and frequently manifests in physical manifestations such as weight gain, diabetes, MS, Lupus, arthritis, hear disease and numerous other ailments.

His philosophy
Dr Chris’ vision is to empower people, as far as is humanly possible, to lead a long and healthy life, to perform optimally and to stay injury-free. He is a fierce advocate of natural health and thrives on seeing people reach their maximum physical potential.
His comprehensive goal is to promote natural and preventative ways to improve the health of South Africans.
His own Olympic-level sporting history contributes to his special interest in athletic performance. "In this modern age of sports nutrition, nutritionists and trainers should no longer recommend a one-size-fits-all nutrition package for sports people. No two athletes or any persons are the same and one diet simply does not fit or benefit all."
